Not a troll, just a hard working tax paying citizen. The only reason most are homeless is they are to lazy to work.Offer one of the bums with a sign a job and watch thenm run a away. $100.00 to $200.00 a day tax free is good money to be homeless. Kick their non tax paying lazy butts out of the area and see how fast they find a real job.

@Cosmo: Maybe he should lose his job, have his family turn against him, and lose his house. Maybe then he would understand what it's like.

Thankfully, we have family and friends that would help us out~~not everyone does.

My biggest problem is with the people that just WON'T work for their keep.

While some people have varying opinions on the homeless when the temperature reaches a certain low even the most seasoned homeless person will seek shelter~~I live in a city where no homeless services are offered~~I've watched the homeless and how they suffer ~~ New World I pray that you never ever become homeless because you do not have the skills, fortitude, strength or courage to deal with homelessness~~Most of the people people who are homeless are not a problem they just look and smell bad because their life circumstance have led them in a different direction~~And if they are homeless by choice pray for them that god changes their heart minds and souls so they can come back it to society and function and enjoy all the benefit that housing has to offer including a warm bed~~~

They are a burdon to society and hurt the local economy with their presence. If they are homeless then they need to be removed from the area or put in jail for vagrancy.

NET MOMMY. I agree with you. Didn't mean to think I was heartless. I try to help out as much as possible. Nobly knows what the next circumstance will be. But, one thing is for sure, NEVER SAY it won't happen to me.

Elduderino -- AMEN!! Regardless of the circumstances that put them on the street, these are still people, still human beings just like the rest of us.

newworld -- I feel sorry for you that you are so heartless. Maybe you could spend some time at one of the local shelters, volunteer to help with the homeless counts, maybe just befriend one of them and help them to find a steady job, a warm, affordable place to live, a decent car to get them to work and back. Maybe you could help to move them to a better place in life. It is sad to say, but that could one day be you or I or someone you know standing on that corner holding that sign. Don't lump everyone into the small minority.

While I know some people need help and I take things to the shelter and drop it off. The two that are pictured here just need to get a job. I guarentee they can stay warm for at least 8 hours a day 5 days a week.

Some of these people CHOOSE their lifestyle. Take care of the kids, but make the adults WORK for their handouts!

How about giving them a free warm bus ride out of our area? Everywhere you look there is a pathetic looking bum with a sign and their hands out. It is bad when you are welcomed to West Virginia by the smell from the poop plant and a bum with a sign.
