Marieta is such a beautiful city, mostly on the part of the Voluntee groups that give their time and money to it a treasure. I am disgusted that Michael Mullen can take a $1700.00 raise and give the Firefighters a $3000.00 pay cut. We need these Firfighters more than we need Michael Mullen.

In a way it is sad that downtown Marietta is such a big deal. What I mean is, for many of us, their downtown reminds us of what all our downtowns used to be like.

Hats off to all the private and public forces that have kept downtown Marietta from going downhill. It's "back to the future" with all the nice friendly shops and restaurants.
