Rest in peace Danny, your going to be missed by everyone, not just VVFD. As far as his replacement, the Mayor will appoint a new chief since the Chief of VVFD is a paid position. Prayers to the family.

Good Man..he used to coach me in little league baseball..he will be missed...definately a loss for the community...as for replacement procedure..not sure if that position is elected or appointed..if appointed the mayor would appoint the next person or an interim person unti the next individual is elected.

A huge loss for our town! What a nice, modest man.Thoughts and prayers to his family. I pray we have no fires or emergencies the day of his funeral cause everyone will be there. RIP,Danny.
