$1.3 deficit in budget; what a joke. the city does this year after year because they start with anything and everything wish list. than they go back and begin a reality check. a new $400K public works building; sure, with heated toilet seats one would suspect. this city is overtaxed now and has maxed out its levying authorization. until it corrects its out of control medical benefit program by asking/ requiring the employees to pay a "fair" share of the costs, it will be a major drain on the taxpayers. and since public safety is somewhat of a joke, how about dissolving the police dept., and having the county take it over? many ways to slash budget and save tax dollars. but like obama, just renew the credit cards folks.

well "educated", your nom de plume is i guess to give you an aura of ???? but one could easily believe you are either affiliated or a member of the vienna administration. as is quite common, attacking the messenger is always a tactic to draw away from the issues. lots of luck there. i am always quite willing to take a lie detector test on anything that i post/ write/ say. in the case of the city of vienna, my allegations except for the tongue in cheek heated toilet seats is pretty much a verbal/ heard/ seen from the city staff/ council. the comments on the lack of public safety is gleamed from three seperate conversations with the x-mayor in 2008, a police officer in 2011 and a police sgt in 2012. city finances are poorly managed overall and proven as noted.

One could easily assume you are someone who ran for office and failed to be elected. State your name and credentials I'm sure the City of Vienna will come running for your help. City is inpretty bad shape. That must be why property in Vienna is so expensive, because it's so poorly ran.

never ran; never lost. and can state with out doubt that i could do this coming years budget starting with the current one and cut it by 5- 10% and no loss of service. no brag, just fact. so enough of your snide and unproductive remarks. as i said before you are affiliated with or work for the city and are on to try and use smoke and mirrors to hide the facts.

You keep saying all these things you could do, but you have never done anything but complain on the internet. If you can do all these things than maybe you should get involved, and if you aren't as crazy as you seem on here maybe you might get people to agree with you. But I'm going to guess there is a reason you complain on the internet in place of actually doing something constructive.

you continue to show yourself as a city of vienna shill. how do you know i haven't? there is a lot that goes on that the city does not want people to know is happening just to keep the poor management hidden. so that is all i can say about that.

You continue to make vague accusations with no details. If there were something going on that You knew about than I would hope you would do something about it. But considering your statements I'm going assume that you don't know of anything that goes on, because if you did you would just say what is happening.

Williamstown proposed a $2 an hour raise that will bring their starting rate to over $15 an hour, which is more than Vienna. They have half the population. Belpre has about 8000 people and starts around $19 an hour, smaller population and $4 more an hour than Vienna. Aaaand Parkersburg is getting a $2 an hour raise. I keep giving you numbers and you keep deflecting all the facts. and thanks for confirming that there are nearly 11000 people in Vienna.
