MrAlex, First off guns do not belong in the hands of teachers. Professionalism takes a stand here. Either a law officer, or military officer, that has proper training. You can't just put a gun in the hand of anyone, and do a short training session. An official officer not only has training to handle guns, but also has knowledge of decoy and defense tactics. As far as God taken out of school, this didn't cause the situation to happen. Its just that maybe, this young man might have had a higher " Being " to think about before committing such a horrible act. Maybe so, maybe not, but will never know, will we? The bottom line is, this all starts with responsibility at home. If kids get sick we take them to a doctor. This should also apply to mental illness. If someone is simply mean, like a student, there is help for them also. If a parent cannot spot this, then they are either in denial themselves, or just not parenting!
