The citizens of Parkersburg, with the help of our out-of-town workers, have provided employees of the police department with 63 vehicles. How many were being utilized at midnight on the busiest night of the year?

And it fails to come straight out, this article does,on exactly how many of those were total B.S. calls;Someones argument, music was loud, and believe this one or not,but I heard it; "some-one walked past my house, they need to be checked". This garbage is everyday,so it's a small wonder why these cops are in a bad mood most of the time.

Our police department does a good job. 150 calls in one night for a small town like Parkersburg is incredible...and a shame. Sounds like we need to hire more officers. If the city decides to put an officer or 2 in each school and day care center to prevent another Sandy Hook the city will definitely need to hire more officers. Perhaps an increase in the user fee or a $500.00 tax on assault weapons can help defray the cost.
