OVU dedicates new science center

February 21, 2008

VIENNA — Ohio Valley University made a number of great strides in 2007, all of which should lead to a productive and successful 2008.

The school established cooperative agreements with both West Virginia University at Parkersburg and Washington State Community College, established new degrees and also lowered its tuition. Perhaps the biggest development from OVU in 2007 was the dedication of the Drennan Science Center. The Center is named after Don and Rudith Drennan, longtime supporters of the college who were instrumental in the renovated facility.

“Don and Rudith Drennan have left an indelible mark on the Ohio Valley University campus,” said OVU President James A. Johnson.

The 4,300-square-foot, million dollar facility was designed by David Reiser with RVC Architects in Athens, Ohio, and engineered by Pickering and Associates. Silverheels Construction served as the general contractor.
