CCMH receives consumer award
PARKERSBURG — After a one year survey, Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital was awarded the consumer choice award in a quality and image survey. Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital CEO Mike King said the survey was not commissioned by the hospital and the naming of the hospital was a complete surprise to him. “In October I got a call from one of our board members asking me if I’d seen the Modern Healthcare magazine,” he said. “I looked and there we were in an ad about the award. It was a great way to start the day.” King said he received a letter from the Lincoln, Neb.-based National Research Corp. informing him of the results. Pat Heiser, executive director of promotions for National Research, said the company has done the survey about hospitals in more than 300 markets over the past 14 years. This was the first year they surveyed the Parkersburg-Marietta market interviewing 340 people in the area.
