The Mid-Ohio Valley Academy of Fine Arts will sponsor a Fine Arts Day Camp for one week each in June, July and August.

The camp program will be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday during the weeks of June 23-26, July 7-10 and Aug. 4-7 in the Mid-Ohio Valley Ballet at 1311 Ann St.

Children interested in the arts can attend one, two or all three weeks. The program is open to all area children from ages 5 (and who have completed kindergarten) through 12 years of age.

The cost will range from $70 to $90 each week, depending on age and number of children from the same family participating. Pre-registration is required to attend. More information and registration brochures are available by calling the MOVBAFA office at (304) 422-5538.

Each week will feature different activities including dance, music, voice, dramatics and arts and crafts. Camp classes and activities will be presented on age-appropriate levels and each child will receive expert individual attention. Camp director Suzy Gunter plans and oversees all camp activities with a staff from MOV Ballet.

The former school has dance classrooms, video learning room, lunchroom, music rooms, fenced outdoor play area and a mini-stage area in the remodeled gym portion of the building where campers can practice their dramatic arts.
