I love The Masters. It's not my favorite major (that would be the British Open) but it is certainly special. It's vibrant, beautiful and serves as the harbinger of spring. Wright Thompson, a writer at ESPN has been writing letters from Augusta this week. They are great, short reads that may or may not be related to golf so much as the Augusta experience. (Translation: Even if you don't like golf or sports, you may still enjoy them.) Thompson, who have I always thought of as a travel writer who does sports, is typically a long-form writer. It's nice to see him break out the short stuff and net the same effect: a great reading piece. Damn, I'm jealous.
