Callous behavior amazing

As city crews were trying to clear streets of snow this past weekend, some residents were foolishly and illegally clearing their driveways and sidewalks by shoveling the snow into the street.

How anyone could be so foolish is completely beyond me! Don't these unthinking people realize they are just making it more difficult for motorists, including themselves, when they fill the street with their discarded snow? Don't they realize if every residents followed their nonsensical behavior, the streets never would be cleared?

There is a good and reasonable reason it is illegal to shovel snow into the street, and police need to issue citations when they spot such callous behavior.

We have another snow storm coming Tuesday or Wednesday. Will residents again disregard common sense and the law by throwing their driveway snow into the street? My guess is they will because they just don't care!
