| | Let's move onDecember 15, 2008 - Jim SmithEnough, already! Several states and now the U.S. Supreme Court has rejected challenges to Barack Obama being a natural-born U.S. citizen. The challengers have alleged Obama was born to an American woman and a Kenyan father, thus having dual U.S. and British nationality. Others have contended Obama was born in Kenya, not Hawaii as Obama repeatedly has maintained. Hawaii Health Department Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino and the stateás registrar of vital statistics, Alvin Onaka, say they have examined state health department records and determined Obama was born in Hawaii. The nonpartisan Factcheck.org examined the original document and said it does have a raised seal and the usual evidence of a genuine document. Factcheck.org also reproduced an announcement of Obama's birth, including his parents' address in Honolulu, that was published in the Honolulu Advertiser on Aug. 13, 1961. Enough is enough is enough! Obama has been elected President of the United States and it's time to knock off the petty politics. Would I have preferred better candidates running for president last month? Heck yes, but such was not the case, so let's get on with it. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | |
