My Christmas Book Wish List

December 24, 2007 - Amy Phelps
By the end of the year, my book review stack usually thins and I start hitting the bookshelf for books to keep me occupied. Last night/this morning lead me to a Doctor Who book, The Clockwise Man by Justin Richards. Rose and the Doctor travel to 1920s England where the get caught up in a web of political intrigue and murder.

Upon coming to work, I received a copy of Hot by Julia Harper, a January release. It's about a librarian who takes advantage of a bank robbery to pull her own heist and runs afoul of an FBI Special Agent. It sounds fun.

Also looking ahead to January, here's a list of upcoming books that I thought sounded promising:

1. Time Transit by Kay Austin - anything with time travel is good by me

2. My Enemy's Cradle by Sara Young - something about the World War II era

3. The Heroines by Elieen Favorite - book heroines hang at a B&B

4. Secret Between Us by Barbara Delinsky - a mom & daughter in a car crash

5. Trick My Truck by LuAnn McLane - I loved her last book

6. Skinny Dipping by Connie Brockway - contemporary romance

7. Vampire of New York by Lee Hunt - a paranormal mystery

8. Celebutantes by Amanda Goldeberg - because I watch way too much E!

9. Home School by Charles Webb - sequel to The Graduate

10. 99 Coffins: A Historical Vampire Tale by David Wellington - another mystery

11. My Big Fat Supernatural Honeymoon edited by P.N.Elrod - great authors

12.Inside Straight by George R. R. Martin - a sci-fi book by my husband's fave

13. BTVS: One Thing or Your Mother by Kirsten Beyer- I Heart Buffy!

14. Duma Key by Stephen King - I'm not a huge King fan, but sounds interesting

So that's what I'm on the lookout for. Anyone looking forward to other January releases coming up that they think should be on my list? Post a message here or email me.
