Another write in candidate?

It looks like the race for the Parkersburg City Council will include another write-in candidate.
At the end of May, District 4 incumbent Jim Myers filed to run as a write-in candidate in the November election. Myer lost in the Democratic primary to Steven Whitehair.
Following Tuesday's council meeting, District 9 representative Demo Dukas called over Sherry Dugan. Dugan defeated Dukas, and two other candidates, in the Democratic primary. Dukas told Dugan he was considering running against her in the general election as a write in. Dugan said she appreciated the heads up.
When I asked Dukas if he was going to run as a write in, he told me the same thing.
"I'm giving it serious consideration," he said. "Serious consideration."
Dukas has until Aug. 29th decide.
Dukas lost by 21 votes to Dugan, a former one-term (1990-94) council person.
