Too much tan?

July 20, 2008 - Jody Murphy
Pulling into the checkout line at Sam's Club, I couldn't help but notice the woman.
She was short, VERY athletic and well-toned. Wearing short, form-fitting black spandex shorts and a matching top, the 40-something woman had a great body. (I'm married, but I ain't dead. I am allowed to window shop.)
Very sinewy.
She had muscles in her shoulder blades. But that wasn't what really got her noticed.
It was her tan that made her stand out - not in a good way.
It was over the top; orange in color. The backs of her legs were orange. She almost looked stained. Like a overgrown Oompa Loompa. It was freakish.
There is a good healthy tan and then there are those folks who go overboard, either with tanning beds, or lotion. They end up with the kind of tan that would make a carrot jealous.
This woman was on the carrot end of the scale.
