No parole for Manson, followers

A parole board in California on Tuesday denied parole for one of the infamous Charles Manson followers who is dying from brain cancer. Susan Atkins has been in prison almost 40 years for the Tate-LaBianca murders ordered by Manson in 1969. She asked for justice and mercy, saying she wanted to die with her friends and family around her. Atkins stabbed and killed actress Sharon Tate, who was eight and a half months pregnant, then tasted her blood and wrote "pig" on a wall with Tate's blood. Atkins claimed she was in an LSD-induced frenzy. Atkins and Manson, along with Patricia Krenwinkel and Leslie Van Houten, two other members of the Manson cult convicted of the murders, should spend the rest of their days behind bars. That's justice.
