Manchin still needs a watchUnlike the outdoors dedication of the Blennerhassett Island Bridge where Gov. Joe Manchin kept several hundred people waiting in 90-degree weather for his arrival 30 minutes after the event was to start, on Friday the governor was only 20 minutes late. Interestingly, on Wednesday Manchin's press office said it didn't know why the governor was to be in Parkersburg on Friday, even though he managed to arrive 20 minutes late at SW Resources for an announcement involving it, PSA and DuPont. The last time Manchin kept Mid-Ohio Valley citizens waiting in the hot sun, Parkersburg Mayor Bob Newell's secretary passed out. This time, at least, the event was indoors. The governor's staff needs to buy him a new wristwatch or his handlers need to get better organized.
