Have you validated your subscription yet?

If you are a frequent online reader of The Parkersburg News and Sentinel, you know by now All Access adds many features to the online reading experience not available before.

All these features require you to validate your print subscription to proceed or purchase a convenient digital-only subscription.

Validation is easy, takes only a few minutes and allows you to read all the stories on the website, as well as a digital version of the newspaper on your computer, tablet or smart phone. All the digital options are part of your print subscriptions. More options, no more cost. Pretty simple, isn’t it?

For those who have not validated, here are a few simple steps.

When you read any story and you see a box pop up in the middle of the story, click on the link that says “are you a print subscriber?”

We then ask you to provide us your last name, the number part of your street address and your zip code. We use that info to validate you are a subscriber. We then ask your name, plus your email. You will use your email to log into the different options. You then provide us with a password. It can be anything you want, and will only be known to you.

When you hit submit and you are successfully validated, the entire story will load. You can then read any of the thousands of stories on NewsandSentinel.com, read the e-edition (there is a link to it on the top of this page, see it?) or download the apps for your tablet or smart phone.

Non-subscribers can purchase a digital-only subscription giving them All Access to the entire newspaper on all electronic devices.

Most people have validated with no problems, but a few have had trouble with the process. If you fall into this group, here is some advice to help you.
1. Remember to enter only the number portion of your address.
2. If you are a subscriber, you need to click on the “Are you a subscriber?” link to start the process. You do not need to use the “Sign up” link, that’s only for people needing to purchase a digital subscription.
3. Occasionally people start the process and get stuck; now there is a message at the top of the log in box with your name in. Click on the “I’m not…” link and it will allow you to start the process again.
4. The webpage found at newsandsentinel.com/allaccess has a lot of great information, if you have questions, you will likely find the answer there. Plus the page has links to download the apps as well as well as links to validate and to subscribe.
5. Call our circulation department at 304-485-1891. We can check if there is a problem with your account and we can reset your password if you can’t remember what you typed.
6. Enjoy reading the newspaper from anywhere you happen to be, on any device, at any time. It is pretty awesome.
