Registered users get more features on siteBlog Links» Become a memberAdding reader comments to stories adds an entirely new dimension to the online report because it allows everyone's voice to be heard. Many readers have jumped onto this feature and have been actively leaving comments on stories through out our site. Hundreds of comments have been left on scores of stories since we launched our site in December. Our site now contains nearly 2,000 stories. All comments are filtered for bad language and the system allows other registered users to report comments that they find abusive. Registration is easy and free. All you have to do is fill out an online form. You will quickly get an e-mail to validate and you are done. Once registered you can leave comments on stories, polls and blogs. You can even leave comments on this blog if you want. Registration also gives you access to your membership page. On this page you will be able to do the following. • Update your profile. • Review comments: You can look at the comments that you have left on stories, blogs and polls. The page will even tell you what stories you have commented on the most. • Sign up for e-mail alerts: Enter a phrase or word and we will send you an e-mail every time we add a story to a site containing that phrase or word. Do this and you will be assured of not missing a single story about an issue that concerns you. • Registered users can also save content so that they will be able to easily locate it in the future. • Upload photos to CU. All registered users of our site are automatically registered users of CU. When you are on your members page you are one click away from the photo upload page on CU. The photo sharing site now contains more than 40,000 photos and is the world's largest online collection of photos of the Mid-Ohio Valley. There are currently 1,653 active members to our site. Click here and join your neighbors and friends in becoming part of the area's largest online community. Readers of MariettaTimes.com and NewsandSentinel.com need to only register on one of the sites. Your user name and password will work on both sites.
