Great time, great food, great exposure

March 5, 2013 - Jim Smith
The Chamber of Commerce's Business Expo Monday night at the E.L.I.T.E. Center was truly a great time, with great food and great business exposure.

The News and Sentinel has been very pleased to sponsor and aid in the development and coordination of the Expo, in partnership with the Chamber.

With 76 vendors and more than 700 people attending the event, it was a huge success, not only as a Business After Hours social business gathering for its first two hours with superb food from Shoney's catering, but also as a free show for the public from 6-8 p.m.

Many of those attending the Expo did not know what the area had to offer and were surprised at some of the local businesses here doing worldwide sales and distribution, such as Kreinik Manufacturing, whose owner, Doug Kreinik, was at the Expo showing his company's wares.

Several nonprofit organizations were represented at the Expo, with some Expo-goers surprised what they had to offer and how simply it was to take advantage of their services.

If you didn't get to this year's Expo, you missed a great time and need to mark on your March 2014 calendar to make sure you go to next year's event.
