| | See you at the Business ExpoFebruary 26, 2013 - Jim SmithThe Chamber of Commerce of the Mid-Ohio Valley will have its annual Business Expo Monday at the E.L.I.T.E. Center in Parkersburg. From 4-6 p.m. the event showcasing area businesses will be for chamber members only and will serve as a Business After Hours with food and beverages. In a change from last year, from 6-8 p.m. the expo will be free to the public, making it the only free trade show of its kind in the area. Jill Parsons, chamber president/CEO, has said, the business expo is "an opportunity for our local business community to promote your business, your services and your talented team to members of the chamber of commerce as well as the general public. Those who attend will be amazed by the diversity of businesses in our community. Businesses and organizations are encouraged to set up booths, displays and demonstrations to showcase their organization. "They will be able to sign up new customers, sell items, invite current customers to stop by and get a special coupon. Spend time talking with other business representatives," Parsons said. The sponsors for the Expo are Crown Event Rental, Pepsi Beverages Co., Results Radio, E.L.I.T.E. Sports Center and The News and Sentinel. "The goal of the Business Expo is to promote local businesses," Parsons said. "It is set up with the format that chamber members can find out more about other chamber members and other business in the Mid-Ohio Valley." The expo has been a good time every year since its inception and has been a wonderful place to see new businesses in the area and get reacquainted with ones that have been here for years.
