Mobile edition delivers The News anywhereBlog Links» Mobile EditionA couple of new features our Web site makes it a little easier to stay connected and know what is happening in the area. On the top of every page of NewsandSentinel.com, readers will find a link to our mobile edition. mobile.NewsandSentinel.com is a scaled down version of the main web site and is designed to fit nicely on a cell phone or other wireless device. Stories can quickly be called up and read right on your phone. The feature is great if your traveling and can't access the internet with a computer. Readers can also sign up to get e-mail alerts sent to them when a story is posted about about a topic they are interested in. The e-mails can be sent to any e-mail box, including the one for your phone. It sends a file that contains the headline and a link, the link will take you to the full version of the story. E-mails alerts are available to anyone who registers on our site. The two features together allow you to keep up with The News and Sentinel regardless of where you happen to be.
