Methods of Distraction

POSTED:Thu, January 31, 2008 @ 10:27AM

TV time

Since we don't have a television columnist or blogger, I'll take on the subject.

Lost. I'm excited about this new season. I was a very loyal viewer until the season two and three schedule flub and have become a little more interested in the past season. This new season has promises, but I'm curious as to if the excitement is all because the show looks that great or if it is because people are foaming at the mouth for something of substance to watch during the writers' strike. We will see.

To take a look at TV geared toward music, I will admit that I've been watching the newest season of American Idol. I will probably stop watching once they go to Hollywood. It is apparent many people like to punish their ears by listening to screaming, off key, self lovers. With roughly 27 million viewers on Tuesday's show alone, I will say it's the best thing on network television at the moment.

How often do you update your blog Jolene? Hope your not getting paid for this.

Idol? I think it is rather tired. It may be interesting the final one or two programs, but seriously...tired. People over-singing and forced drama make this a teen-driven sensation. Maybe try The Office? Original at least.
