| | Tressel still in my doghouseJanuary 4, 2012 - Jim SmithDisgraced Ohio State University football coach Jim Tressel, who had to resign in the sports memorabilia scandal that resulted in several players' suspensions and all but destroyed OSU's 2011 season, is being mentioned as a possible NFL head coach, maybe even at the lackluster Indianapolis Colts. There are several NFL ex-coaches that have been out of football for a few years that certainly would be a better choice than a former college coach who is all but banned from college coaching for the next five years. The Colts have Tressel on the payroll supposedly to scout for the team, which is more than he should be allowed to do at any level of football. Jim Tressel made millions of dollars as OSU's head coach. He made his own bed in deciding to ignore NCAA rules and give preferential treatment to some of his star players, now let him sleep in that bed outside of football. Why any team owner would trust Tressel is beyond me! Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article. Post a Comment | |
