Truth Seeker: Learn more about paranormal at Parkersburg event
When talking about the paranormal there is a wide range of subjects that can and are included in this category. Normally I write about the haunted side talking about ghosts and my personal experiences. I do not get into talking about cryptids and psychics but these are still part of the unknown. Recently, I was able to speak at a paranormal conference just outside of the Cincinnati area on learning as much as you can about the subject you are interested in. Even if it just about Bigfoot or local hauntings. Learn as much as you can. Back when I started doing research I did not have the resources that are available today. Nor did I have as many people to communicate with to look for suggestions. Today, we can find all sorts of information and events to attend to learn even more.
One event I know of will be held in Parkersburg on Dec. 1 at the historic Dils Center. The key speakers will be the Mountain Monsters, A.I.M.S. Team that many have watched on their televisions. They will be giving us insight on their adventures trying to capture cryptids and answering questions from the audience. Speaking of cryptids, you cannot forget about the Mothman that has been seen in the Point Pleasant, W.Va., are. Plus, who would be better to listen to than Jeff Wamsley concerning this winged creature? Jeff has grown up hearing stories of sightings of the Mothman and recorded his findings in his book. Also speaking is a good friend of mine Steve Hummel. I have been on adventures with him at the Moundsville Prison and we currently share ideas and thoughts concerning ghost and haunted items. He also has a very unique museum of haunted items and is bringing some with him, including the execution cap of the electric chair in the penitentiary.
As for the psychic side of the paranormal I have worked with Susan Sheppard who many know from the ghost tours in Parkersburg and her books. I have known Susan for at least 18 years. In that time we have been to several allegedly haunted locations together seeking out the unknown. She has a talent that I cannot explain and I do enjoy listening to her talking about her experiences.
Also, Jessica Wielitzka from the ghost tours in Marietta will be at the event talking about allegedly haunted locations and experiences. I have not known Jessica as long as a few of the others but have searched for the unknown with her a few times. I am sure she will enlighten us all about the paranormal happenings in Marietta.
With this list of speakers at Paranorm MOV it is sure to be exciting with much enlightenment on these areas of the paranormal. For those who wish to know more about these subjects, whether you have experience or not, this is definitely the place to be. Go and listen and ask questions to be better educated about the paranormal. One thing that I have learned over the years is the more I learn the more I realize I don’t know.
