Chamber spotlight: Becky Nichols Portrait
I am pleased to introduce you to a brand new business and brand new Chamber member, Becky Nichols Portrait. Becky has recently opened the doors of her new studio, though being in business since 2014.
According to her recent press release, “Becky is best known for magazine style portraiture that offers artistic style with timeless appeal. Nichols’ goal with her photography shoots, both in-studio and on location, is to ‘ignite the fire in the souls of her subjects.’ Her artistic heart inspires her clients to reveal their best and most beautiful selves to her camera. The resulting portraits are bold and highly treasured by clients.”Becky is an award winning photographer as of March 2018, bringing home a bronze award in the Teen/Senior division of the prestigious Portrait Masters Photography Competition, in which there were 6,583 entries. We asked Becky these 8 questions to learn more about her business.
Please give a brief explanation of your organization and the products/services you offer.
“I start each shoot with a wardrobe consultation and styling designed to create a personal experience for my clients. I partner with professional hair and make-up artists to ensure that my clients feel perfectly polished when they step in front of my camera. I ensure that each portrait is treated like the treasure that it is, offering my clients high-quality, Italian leather folio boxes and archival-quality matting. I also offer large art prints and canvas gallery wraps. Digital copies of each photo are included with every photo purchased.”
Can you share the story of how your business got started and why?
“It started as a hobby with a fascination of learning how to use a professional camera. I would see amazing works of art created with photographs and wanted to learn. One Graphics Design degree and many other classes later I honed my craft to a business worthy of serving clients.”
