Thirty-One Bingo fundraiser slated for today

Beverly-Center Elementary School’s P.T.O. is holding a Thirty-One Bingo fundraiser from noon to 4 p.m. today at the school on Fifth Street in Beverly. Tickets for the event are $25 at the door. Participants must be 18 years old or older to play. Twenty games will be played and all bags are filled with items following a different theme. There will also be Early Bird and second chance prize bags as well as a 50/50 drawing. Concessions will be available during the event and additional cards and daubers will also be available for purchase. All proceeds benefit the Beverly-Center P.T.O. and their programs for the school.

Several vendors will have displays at the event with items for sale. Those vendors presenting include Scentsy, Tastefully Simple, Perfectly Posh, PUREhaven Essentials, Tupperware, NuSkin, Pink Zebra, pawTree, Pampered Chef, LuLa Roe, Jamby styles, It Works, Damsel in Defense, Color Street and Thirty-One.



Beginning tomorrow, February 26, Fort Frye Local School District will hold its 2018-2019 kindergarten registration. If you have a child that will be 5 years old on or before August 1, 2018, they are eligible to be registered for the 2018-2019 school year. Registration dates are February 26 through March 2, Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. and Tuesday and Wednesday from noon-7 p.m. All registrations will be done at the Central Registrar’s Office, located in Beverly-Center Elementary School in Beverly. Be sure to bring the following documents to register: birth certificate of child being enrolled, immunization record, court papers showing custody or guardianship (if applicable), and proof of residency such as a utility bill or rental agreement identifying your physical address.

Screening dates will be scheduled following registration. Screening at Beverly-Center will be April 4 and 9, Lowell Elementary on April 5, and Salem-Liberty Elementary April 6. Remember, specific screening times will be scheduled when the child is registered.

The Beverly-Waterford Ministerial Association announces its Community Lenten services schedule. All community members are invited to attend services each Wednesday evening at 7:30. A free-will offering will be taken to support the ministry of the Beverly-Waterford Ministerial Association. Dates, host churches, and speakers are: February 28 — St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Father Tim Kozak; March 7 — Waterford Nazarene, John Harra; March 14 — Smith’s Chapel UMC — Karl Kesselring; and March 21 — Beverly Presbyterian, Darla Schnegg. Good Friday services will be held March 30 at the Beverly United Methodist Church with Russell White speaking.
