Addie Gundry has recently released several new cookbooks. One is “Everyday Dinner Ideas: 103 Easy Recipes for Chicken, Pasta and Other Dishes Everyone Will Love.”

The book is divided into 8 chapters: Appetizers and Salads, Soups and Stews, Poultry, Beef and Pork, Pasta and Vegetarian, Side Dishes, Grilling Made Easy and Dessert.

Appetizers include recipes like Bacon-Wrapped Smokies, Chicken-Slaw Salad and Fried Pickles.

Poultry recipes offer Four-Ingredient OMG Chicken, Lemon-Pepper Chicken Breasts and Turkey Wrap.

Beef and Pork include dishes like Stuffed Peppers, Bacon Cheeseburger Walking Tacos and Kielbasa, Pepper and Onion Hash.

Pasta and Vegetarian have dishes like Eggplant Parmesan, Chicken Mac and Cheese and Pesto Tortellini.

Side Dishes offer Hash Brown Casserole, Cornbread and Pierogi Casserole.

Grilling Made Easy has dishes such as Grilled Tequila Chicken, Skirt Steak Tacos and Blue Cheese Corn.

Desserts end everything sweetly with Peanut Butter Cup S’Mores, Malted Milk Ball-Marshmallow Brownies and Lemon Bars.

I made Old-Fashioned Chicken and Dumplings one night. Chicken is a dish that pretty much everyone likes, though due to an incident with some bad purchased chicken, I hate cooking it now. Dumplings seems to be the one noodle/bread type item I can make, so this was a good start for me. Everything came together quickly and wasn’t too hard to prep. It was a good winter-time dish.

I also made Chicken Cordon Bleu, something everyone also seems to like. Stuffing chicken with a mixture of ham, cheese and making a sauce is about it, and it was pretty easy and quick to do. It didn’t come out as pretty as the picture, but that can’t be helped sometimes. It still tasted good!

If you’re looking for some easy new recipes to try and expand your routine, this is a good start.

“Everyday Dinner Ideas” is published by St. Martin’s Griffin. It is $19.99.
