The Beverly Public Library will hold their preschool story time this week, December 5 and 6. Remember the new winter format — Tuesday night and Wednesday morning story times. The Tuesday evening program will meet at 6:30 p.m. with the program repeating Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. Programs are appropriate for children ages 2-6 who are accompanied by an adult that will remain with the child throughout the entire story time. As usual, story times can include crafts, games, snacks, music, and plenty of good books. This week’s theme is “Deer”.

Returning for December and January is the Ohio State University Extension office with their SNAP-Ed (supplemental nutrition assistance program education) program.

This series of programs will focus on the 5 food groups and how to shop for them.

The program begins December 7 at 10:30 a.m. and continues December 21, January 4, and January 18. Please remember these programs are for adults only.

The Movie Marathon Saturday concludes this Saturday, December 9, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This week’s marathon focuses on movies from the 1910s.

The Beverly Public Library is once again collecting winter wear for local children. Help them decorate their tree with mittens, gloves, hats and scarves.

These items will be given to local children to help them stay warm this winter.
