Beverly-Center names students of the month

These Beverly-Center students were honored during the 2016-2017 school year as ‘Student of the Month’. As the new school year gets under way, here’s hoping their great work going ‘above and beyond’ continues and serves as an example to all the students this year.

August — helping new students adjust to Beverly-Center: Desirai Combs, Anthony Marshall, Harrison Miller, KeAndra Quimby, Jacalyn Lee, Sydney Skinner, Julia Harper, Brookelynn Stottsberry, Kyla Duskey, Gianna Kasun, Brandon Dye, Alaina Snodgrass, Jack Duffey, and Jocelyn Ruble.

September — demonstrating behavior expectations in the hallways, cafeteria, playground, and bathroom: Owen Duskey, Abbi Hesson, Abby Bishman, Kya Kehl, Braylon Meek, Adeline Willey, Macy Moore, Kate Schultheis, Katie Coleman, Braxton Ross, Bonnie Price, Morgan Smith, Carter Armstrong, and Sydney Duskey.

November — honesty towards other students: Ethan Jones, Grant Witten, Wyatt Erb, Laken Stottsberry, Shawn Adams, Ryan Pennell, Karissa Hale, Reiley Miller, Hayley Shaffer, Owen Wagner, Alyssa Duskey, Matthew Wayne, Kiersten Cline, and Emma Duskey.

December — teamwork within the classroom: Leah Campbell, Katie Totman, Brenna Fouss, Graden Miller, Lucy Baker, Kaley Good, John Berrill, Brody Garvin, Coen Fouss, Laine Spindler, Zoe McKown, Collyn Zimmer, Sydnee Duskey, and Avery Schalitz.

January — appreciation toward others: Amiyah Petty, Jayci Spurr, Teagyn Caplinger, Wade Duskey, Tannar Lewis, Kenna McCurdy, Selise Curry, Cambria Starkey, Kealey Beehler, Deakin Offenberger, Oscar Baker, Nathan Powell, Trinidy Kelby, and Nava McKown.

February — commitment to a great education: Jantzyn Huck, Isaac Wagner, Gavin Caldwell, Luke Phillis, Jacalyn Lee, Everett Sampson, Weston Schaad, Natalie Wakefield, Alexis Bishman, Treven Hughes, Konnor Bell, Aubrey McIntire, Bishop Dowler, and Kiera Knox.

March — excellent citizenship: Clinton Erb, Madeline Morgenstern, Jaelyn Beehler, Ethan Wagner, Liberty Anderson, Jonas Wilson, Calvin Gonzalez, Robert O’Brien, Alexandra Long, Ethan Wells, Makenna Long, Hope Slaughter, Danielle Campbell, and Kara Shaffer.

April — accountability: Nathan Adams, Haddley Marks, Lydia Huck, Rosie Williams, Abi Huck, Braxton Knoch, Brandon Garvin, Peyton Offenberger, Kyndal Buchanan, Madyson Long, Tyler Mitchell, Wyatt Shuster, Trevor Fields, and Cassidy Starkey.

May — honesty towards other students: Spencer Long, Vada Stout, Cheyenne McKinney, Taylor Moore, Sophie Schalitz, Reagan Witten, Andrew Adams, Bowen Elliott, Jadyn Bell, Ivy Campbell, Graham Baker, Tristyn Caplinger, Balerigh Hoskinson, and Zaiden Huck.



The Ohio Department of Health’s immunization requirements include all incoming 7th grade students having a DTap/DTP/Tdap Booster and a meningococcal vaccine. Please know these must be administered prior to entry to the 7th grade. A current copy of the child’s immunization records will need to be provided to the school.



The Beverly Volunteer Fire Department raffle will be held next Sunday, August 20, at the Waterford Fair. This year’s raffle is for a John Deere XUV825I Gator. Tickets are $10 each or 3 for $25 and can be purchased from any fire department member.



This marks the last week for the Summer Feeding Program sponsored by the Washington/Morgan Community Action. Lunch is served Monday through Friday at noon in Dodge Park in Beverly. The final weekend meal pack will be distributed August 18. Please remember to call in your meal reservation at 740-373-3455 and have the one page application form completed and turned in in order to receive the weekend meal pack. As always, the child must be present to receive the meals.
