Taste of Parkersburg planning underway
The Taste of Parkersburg steering committee has been working since January planning for this year’s event. This year marks the 12th anniversary of our unique wine and food tasting event that in recent years has seen attendance upwards of 2,200 people. Not only is the Taste of Parkersburg a favorite of locals, but it also brings in guests from out of town. As luck would have it again this year, our first concert of the Point Park Concert Series is the night before this year’s Taste of Parkersburg, giving the community and out of town guests the opportunity to plan a weekend in Parkersburg to enjoy good music and great food and beverages.
The Taste of Parkersburg event relies on the support of community volunteers to assist in the operations of making our event a success. From setup to teardown, volunteers are hard at work selling tickets, pouring wine and assisting guests. Some folks have already reached out to sign up to help with this year’s event and we certainly thank you. For others who are interested in helping out with this year’s Taste of Parkersburg, visit our website, click on the link and sign up. The link will be live the first week of April for you to register.
Sponsorship from our local business community is another big component that helps to make the Taste of Parkersburg a success. This year United Bank is our top level sponsor. We are also excited to announce our other Taste of Parkersburg sponsors, which include WesBanco, Raber and Fleegle Attorneys at Law, The PM Company, WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center, Chapman Printing and The Blennerhassett Hotel. Sponsorship opportunities are still available if your business would like to help support our event while getting some great exposure. For more information, contact email@example.com
Once again this year we will be selling reserved tables, which have become very popular for our participants. General admission tickets and reserved tables will go on sale April 24th and can be purchased online through our website at downtownpkb.com. Entry tickets will also be sold at various local banks and other downtown businesses in late April.
Mark your calendars now and save the date for Downtown PKB’s signature spring event — the Taste of Parkersburg on Saturday, June 3rd.
