SUMMER PROGRAMS CONTINUE

June may be almost over, but there’s still time to sign up for fun and prizes at the Beverly Public Library. The library will be closed this week on Friday in honor of July 4th, but age-level programs are planned for the rest of the week. Monday at 6 p.m. is Family Movie Night. Food, crafts, games, stories, and movies are offered and participating families can enter the summer drawing. Tuesday at 6 p.m. is Elementary Kids Night, and this week features “Math Games.” Read-to-Me Story Time for pre readers ages 2-6 is Wednesday at 11 a.m. This week’s theme is “Singin’ in the Rain.” Craft and snack are provided and an adult is required to remain with the child throughout the story time. Elementary Children can learn about “Boom and Bang” at Thursday afternoon’s 1 p.m. program. Teens and adults are reminded to keep reading and that reading hours are due by July 19. Stop in or contact the library at 984-4060 for more information about these, or any, library programs.

Also continuing is the Summer Feeding Program, which offers free lunches daily for kids ages 1-18. The meals are served in from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in Dodge Park.

All that is required to receive a free meal is to call (740) 373-3455 each day to reserve a meal for the next day.

Weekend meal packs are also available every Friday by calling to reserve a pack. Children must be present on Friday to receive the meal pack. Meals are free to all children through the Washington/Morgan Community Action.
