Sweet Stop extends hours
The Sweet Stop, Beverly’s home for gourmet treats, is extending their hours beginning in November. The shop will now be open on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Now’s your chance to stop by before or after church for cinnamon rolls, maple twists, or any other goodies to go with your morning coffee or satisfy your sweet tooth. Stop in to the shop located at 212 Fifth Street in Beverly, call at 984-4877, or visit them on Facebook.
BENEFIT FOR LOCAL COUPLE TODAY
A benefit meal and silent auction for Bob and Donna Brooker is scheduled for today from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church hall. Roasted chicken or ham meals will be served for a free will donation. A silent auction of items donated from local merchants and individuals will also be held. Proceeds from the event will help defray the Brooker’s current medical expenses.
OCTOBER AT THE LIBRARY
The Beverly Public Library is wrapping up their October activity calendar with two Halloween activities.
School-aged children are invited to a Halloween party on October 30 at 4 p.m. The event will feature crafts, snacks, and a short film.
Follow up your trick-or-treat collections with a Halloween candy trade. On November 1, trick or treaters are invited to bring a bag of their Halloween candy to the library and trade it for a book about Thanksgiving.
Coming in November, story time for children aged 2-5 will continue at 11 am on November 6. This theme will be ‘giraffes’. Please remember, children must be accompanied by an adult for this program.
