Church holds program

The VBS program will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, at the Pennsville United Methodist Church.

Penn Modern Mothers Club will meet at the home of Terri Best on Sunday, Oct. 27 at 3 p.m. for a weiner roast and hayride. Cheryl Kirkbride, Terri Best and Cindy Wilson are the committee in charge. All club members, children, grandchildren are invited to attend for a fun filled afternoon.

Trick and Treat will be held Thursday, Oct. 31, from 6-7 p.m. If giving treats, please leave your porch light on. Weiner roast sponsored by Pennsville Volunteer Fire Department at the fire house. The firemen are raffling off a CVA Accra. 50 Caliber 209 Magnum, Stainless/Real Tree Apg (Thumbhole). Drawing will be held Saturday, Nov. 2, $1 each or 6 for $5 at the fish fry. Anyone wanting tickets contact the firemen.

Fish Fry sponsored by Pennsville Volunteer Fire Department will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2, at 11 a.m. to ?? at the fire house. Donations of pies and cakes would be greatly appreciated by the Fire Department. Adults, $9, Children $5, under 3 free.

Election Day Dinner and Bake Sale sponsored by the Pennsville United Methodist Women will be held at the church from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Nov. 5. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Nancy Jane Campbell of Athens visited with her grandmother, Yerian of Glouster. Nancy is a student at Ohio University. Mike Yerian visited with Mary Yerian on Thursday.

Shelley Mason of Lubbock, Texas called Mae and stated that the temperatures have been in the 30s and 40s. The week before, the temperatures had been in the 90s. That’s quite a drop.

Bev Sidwell visited with Mae on Sunday. Bev’s foot is better, but needs more healing.
