Some notes from around Pennsville

Pennsville Volunteer Fire Department will meet at 8 p.m. Sept. 23 at the firehouse.

Joyce Wentland, Becky Martin and Nicole Hall attended a training session.

They are the district officers in the Foothill United Methodist Church District. This event was held at Columbia Heights in Galloway on Sept. 14.

Pennsville United Methodist Women met Sept. 10 at the church at 7 p.m. Purpose was said by members present. Roll call was answered by five members. Rita Martin gave prayer for the missionaries that she corresponds. Discussed all the upcoming meetings this month and the upcoming months. Sent one card. Beverly Sealock presented a short program and Response Moment was Partnerships for Mission.

Pennsville community extends sympathy to Dale and Sandie Tigner. Dale’s brother, David Tigner, passed away last week.

Sympathy to Jerry and Nellie Miller in the loss of Jerry’s mother passing away at Akron. She was 103 years old.

The community extends sympathy to Matt McKown family. Jean McKown was his mother and relatives in our area.
