Kindergarteners earn awards

These Beverly-Center Elementary School kindergarten students were honored at the school’s end of the school year awards assembly:

Mrs. Fryman’s Class – Good Friend Award – Mattigan Ward and Owen Wagner; Bright Idea Award – Dylan Hamilton and Laine Spindler; Most Creative – Tyler Howard; Mot Helpful – Ryelyn McKinney and Coen Fouss; Never-Give-Up Award – Maggie Fulton and Christopher Stegner; Most Improved – Cheryl Johnson and Tavian Berry; Good Listener – Emmie Duskey and Alexandra Long; Looking Ahead Award – Ashuntae Cline; Penmanship Award – Cadence Waller and Maddox Huck; Top Quality Work Award – Bella Franks and Janessa Ross.

SUMMER IN PARK

Each Wednesday, community members are invited to attend the “Summer in the Park” worship series in Dodge Park in Beverly. From 7 – 8 pm each Wednesday an evening of food, fellowship, and fun – with a special group activity for children – is held in the park. Everyone is welcome to attend this free event sponsored by the Waterford Church of the Nazarene.

MEALS OFFERED

The Washington-Morgan Community Action program is continuing to sponsor free meals for children ages 1 – 18 during July. Each day, Monday through Friday from 11:30 – 12:15, children are invited to the playground at Beverly-Center school beside the Beverly Pool on 5th Street in Beverly, for lunch with activities to follow. Every Friday, a meal pack for the weekend will also be provided, which includes 2 breakfast meals, 4 lunch/dinner meals, and milk. Children must be present to receive the packed meals. An RSVP request must be made by calling 740-373-3455.
