Go 50 shades of kale with new book

Have you ever tried kale? Wouldn’t know how to cook it? Have no fear, for a new cookbook is here to help! “Fifty Shades of Kale” by Drew Ramsey, M.D., and Jennifer Iserloh features 50 recipes that run the gamut between sweet and savory, breakfast to cocktails and all feature kale, with some tongue-in-cheek references to the popular “50 Shades of Gray.”

The book is divided into six chapters: Submit to her Charms, Morning Quickies, Small Bites, Vegetarian Bliss, Get Satisified and Naughty and Nice.

Submit to her Charms introduces kale, what it works with and why it’s good for you.

Morning Quickies is recipes for breakfast using kale. There’s Huevos Rancheros, Blueberry Kale Smoothie, Cheddar Kale Omelet and even Cocoa Delight (with Kale!)

Small Bites are appetizers and side dishes like Kale Kiwi Gazpacho, Baked Sweet Potatoes with Kale and Bacon, Kale with Goat Cheese and Dried Cherries, Kaleslaw and even Kale-onaise.

Vegetarian Bliss is some delicious vegetarian dishes like Grilled Cheese ‘n Kale, Black Bean Soup with Fresh Lime, Mushroom and Kale Risotto and Kale Pesto with Toasted Walnuts.

Get Satisfied is meat and kale main dishes like Thai’d Up Shrimp, Chicken Enchiladas, Steak Fajitas, Beef Burger with Grilled Kale, Kale Chicken Noodle Soup, Kung Pao Chicken with Kale and more.

Naughty and Nice are cocktails and desserts using kale, like Kale Pisco Sour, Green Bloody Mary and a Kalejito as well as Chocolate Chip Kale Cookies, Chocolate Kale Fudge Pops and Kale and Black Cherry Sorbet.

For those wanting to get adventurous and try the superfood, there is a great mix of recipes to try!
