Terminate treaty

On June 29, 2004, at Guadalajara, Mexico, representatives of the U.S. and Mexico signed the “totalization” agreement between the two countries. The fake news media has covered up this story by a lack of coverage, so it’s no wonder that few Americans are aware of the treaty.

This treaty gives illegal workers in the U.S. full Social Security benefits after a mere 6 quarters of 18 months of work in the U.S. while American workers must work for 40 quarters or 10 years to receive full benefits.

The totalization treaty pays illegals millions upon millions of dollars out of our Social Security fund, even to illegals, who use identity fraud to get their jobs. Estimates range from 12 million to over 30 million illegals who may be affected.

Within five years of this treaty becoming law, an estimated $525 million of our Social Security fund will be diverted from our senior citizens who have earned it, to illegal immigrants who may return to Mexico with their Social Security sent to them monthly.

This treaty would bankrupt our Social Security funds and would end or drastically reduce benefits to American workers who have spent a lifetime paying into Social Security.

Under Article 20, at any time either party may terminate the agreement with a written notice to the other party of its intention to do so. This means President Trump can terminate this unfair treaty and negotiate a new treaty that will provide Social Security benefits only to legal workers in the U.S.

President Trump should sign a notice of termination immediately to end this treaty and save our Social Security for our seniors.

Liberal politicians will be outraged if Trump does so because they want the treaty to become law secretly without the American people being aware, by failing to disapprove the treaty. Also, this holds true of some Republicans.

Treaties normally become law by being approved by 2/3 of the Senate, but under the terms of this unconstitutional treaty a majority of either chamber must disapprove the treaty.

Under Article 18, this treaty was slated to take effect on Oct. 1, 2005, after each party met all of its constitutional and legal requirement, which failed to happen because conservatives continually stalled its implementation under Obama.

Everyone should contact their representatives and urge them to permanently disapprove this totalization treaty.
