Fix the potholes at bridge

The pothole situation coming off the Memorial Bridge is a disgrace. There are signs posted welcoming visitors to our city and our state and then visitors have to cross a dangerous minefield to exit the bridge either onto Garfield Avenue or to cross it to continue north to Murdoch Avenue. One wonders whether the state highway department is waiting for the city to patch the potholes while the city, which owns the bridge and its approaches, is waiting for the state to patch Garfield Avenue

Meanwhile, the potholes continue to multiply and only a few cars at a time can make it gingerly out of the bridge without sustaining major front end damage or tire damage.

Come on city and state road crews! Man up and do your jobs! Make our city presentable and its streets safe to drive on.

Sooner, rather than later, please.
