Helping Belpre’s economy

In reference to business in the city of Belpre, I would like to make a recommendation. To help the economy and still keep the hometown feel, I motion to open a small shopping center. Include Johnny Rocket, Popeyes and Quaker Steak & Lube, all non-alcoholic yet modern.

Also, none of them have immediate competition in the Mid-Ohio Valley. I would like to see them accompanied by a sit-down restaurant such as the Rain Forest Cafe, fantastic for the whole family. To balance out the food options, bring in Target and Best Buy. Neither of these are repeated in the MOV, either.

I feel that these choices support the friendly community that Belpre strives for yet encourages economic support without repeat stores nearby. Other choices include Boston Market, Noodles & Co. and Red Hot and Blue (the latter serves alcohol) and Bed Bath & Beyond and Marshall’s for shopping.
