Drop Doonesbury from paper

I totally agree with Kenneth Cooper’s letter to you entitled “Doonesbury is too offensive” in your Dec. 15 edition. You should not print a “cartoon” that makes fun of rape in the military. This subject belongs on your editorial pages.

The “cartoon” is off-base and you should consider dropping your contract with the syndicate you purchase it from. This action on your part may keep many of your remaining subscribers from dropping their subscription with your newspaper.

Again – Doonesbury is an “Editorial Comment Piece” and not a cartoon. As Mr. Cooper stated: “Why not one of the comics featured in the daily paper?” You should consider Mr. Cooper’s advice. I did.
