Maybe frustrated driver at fault

This is in response to the frustrated driver whose letter was published on July 28th, suggesting that everyone needs driving lessons except her. I would think that “almost every weekday morning” when others drivers are “barely missing” her – that in itself would give her a clue to question her own driving.

The intersections she’s referring to appear to be Ann and Fourth streets and Fourth and Juliana streets. Both have the identical traffic pattern and all one has to do is look at the lines painted on the street through the intersection to see what to do. The car in the far left lane on Ann Street has the option of either taking the far left lane or the center lane on Fourth Street. The car in the middle lane on Ann must take the far right lane on Fourth (or go straight ahead).

The same is true at the next intersection. The car in the far left lane on Fourth Street has the option of taking the far left lane on Juliana Street or the center lane. The car in the center lane on Fourth must take the far right lane on Juliana (or go straight ahead). In both situations, the car in the far right lane goes straight ahead.
