Those non-liberal extremists

In response to Carol Lazear Mitchell’s letter published May 5, I take issue with the statement if everyone paid their fair share instead of taking extreme measures to avoid paying taxes we wouldn’t have a problem. The facts are if the taxes were doubled on the top 1 percent, it would reduced the national debt about 8 percent, or run the government for about 30 days. How does that solve the problem? The president is in the top 1 percent and paid 18 percent in taxes. Amazingly, NBC questioned if he felt that was a fair share.

Let’s examine the history and the results of big government. The last four-and-a-half years have tripled the national debt with no end in sight. The first two years of the president’s agenda included spending over $900 billion on a stimulus bill that created no shovel-ready jobs. What it created was money for failing unions and payback for Democratic donors. If the Democrats are so concerned about roads and bridges falling apart, why wasn’t the money spent on that and create jobs?

I find it amazing how the Democrats throw the word “extremism” around. If you disagree with their point of view you are extreme. Why can’t Planned Parenthood clinics provide health care and contraception to poor women and not provide abortions with taxpayer money? When Roe vs. Wade made abortion legal, the liberals said that would never include late-term abortion. But one step at a time and years later, here we are.

I guess the liberals don’t consider Dr. Gosnell extreme. Can you say hypocrite? Have you noticed the media seats in the courtroom are empty? They don’t have the guts to face the truth because they believe in abortion. Just like our socialist president. I guess the option of adoption is extreme.
