Frances Marie Williamson Davis

Frances Marie Williamson Davis, passed away, September 13, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Ora Lucas Williamson, born in Pleasants County, WV on February 5, 1924. She lived her earlier life in Hancock County, Holidays Cove, Weirton, WV area. She worked at Taylor, Smith and Taylor Pottery in Chester, WV, during World War II. In later years, she retired from the Colin Anderson Center. Frances was a member of the Church of Christ in St. Marys, WV. Her hobbies included shopping, yard sales, visiting with family and friends, feeding the birds and stray cats that came to her back door.

She is survived by sons, Robert E. “Sonny” (Beverly) Davis, and Dennis B. Davis (companion, Roberta Colvin), sister, Jean Knirsch, brother, Jim Williamson, daughters-in-law, Ruby Davis and Vickie Davis, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, three step grandchildren, four step great grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis William Davis, two sons, Edwin Davis and Michael Davis, brother, Wayne Williamson, and three sisters, Ethel Jewell, Ruth Brewer, and Mildred McFadden.

Services will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at 11 A. M. at the Ingram Funeral Home in St. Marys, WV, with Roger Rush officiating. Interment will be in the St. Marys IOOF Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P. M. Monday, and from 10 to 11 A. M. Tuesday at the funeral home. An online guest register is available at www.ingramfh.com.
