Ronald W. Butcher
Ronald W. Butcher, 70 of Parkersburg passed away August 23, 2019 at the Ohio Valley Health Care.
He was born in Parkersburg the son of the late Gordon Cyrus and Jean Eleanor Swain Butcher.
He had worked for The Sheltered Workshop – SW Resources and Woodcraft for 49 years and Hopewell Industries in Coshocton, OH. for 3 years. He enjoyed basketball, bowling, singing and had attended Camp Echo for many years and had participated in the Special Olympics for 49 years. He was a member of the Stephenson United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his brothers, Robert S. Butcher (Mary) of Coshocton, OH. and Michael L. Butcher (Sharon) of Parkersburg. One niece, three nephews and his great nieces and nephews. In addition Ron leaves behind his Care Service Provider/friend, Bob Chaney and special friend Linda.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 am at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg with Reverend Tom McQuain officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 pm.
The family would also like to add a special thank you to the entire staff of Ohio Valley Health Care for their special love and care they provided to Ron.
