Ronald Paul Weese

Ronald Paul Weese

Ronald Paul Weese, 64, passed away on July 14, 2019 at Wheeling Hospital. He was the husband and high school sweetheart of Marsha Weese with whom he shared 45 years of marriage. He was the “Best Dad in the Whole World” to his children. Ronald and Marsha created a family and many memories together which will live forever in the hearts of his loved ones.

Ron was the son of Betty and Roy Weese. He retired from his job at Momentive Performance three years ago. He was a devoted member of the Middlebourne Church of Christ where he spent years leading singing and teaching Bible classes. He was incredibly devoted to his family and children. He loved attending sports games and matches when his children or grandchildren were playing. He especially loved watching his daughter Mandi and son Nathan run track and was incredibly proud of their victories. Recently he could always be seen wearing a Duke hat to show his pride for his youngest daughter. He and his oldest son Jason shared a similar sense of humor and a love of hunting, fishing, and all things outdoors. He spent many hours sitting in front of the Ashland talking about his family and his farm with the Old Men’s club.

Ron was also dedicated to the Weese family farm and his “little calfies”. He enjoyed spending time and working on the farm with his children and grandchildren. His love of farming further manifested itself in his tendency to look at hay fields while driving instead of the road and his various t-shirts displaying pictures of cows.

Ron also loved singing despite his complete inability to remember song lyrics correctly. He even made up original tunes about his beloved dogs Raven and Darcy. He would frequently sing to Darcy while taking her on car rides to get hamburgers together in New Martinsville. He will be remembered by his family always for his moonwalking abilities, his adamant attention to Fox News, his insistence on opening presents on Christmas Eve, and his ability to navigate based solely on the locations of restaurants.

He enjoyed spending time with his kid’s significant others: watching his grandkids play sports with his daughter in law Shelley, working on the farm with his son in law Patrick, and having his picture taken by his daughter in law McKinzi while on family vacations.

He was preceded in death by his father Roy Weese. He is survived by his mother, Betty Weese, siblings, Roger Weese and Linda Walker, and wife Marsha Weese. He is also survived by his four children and their families, Jason, Mandi, Nathan, and Tara, along with his four grandchildren Kali, Peyton, Frederick, and Baby Rymer.

The viewing will be held at Furbee funeral home in Middlebourne from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, July 16, 2019. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday morning at 11:00am, officiated by Evangelists Eric Krieg and Tony Huntsman. Interment in Beechwood Cemetery, Alma.
