Walter A. “June” Ingram Jr.

Walter A. “June” Ingram Jr., 82, of Parkersburg, WV, gained his reward Tuesday morning, June 11, 2019 when he joined his wife Doris of sixty-three years in their heavenly home. He was born in Parkersburg, WV a son of the late Walter A. Sr. and Yula Ombra (Smith) Ingram.

He was an electrician and had worked at Griffin Electric and retired from Fenton Art Glass Factory after twenty-nine years. He was a member of Church of Christ. He had a love for farming that started as a young boy working on the Kesterson Farm and continued after retirement on his own farm.

He is survived by four daughters Julia DePuy (Jeff) of Williamstown, Jeri Sanders of St. Louis, Missouri, Jodeen Ingram of Vienna, and Janna Menear (Dennis) of Vienna; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his wonderful country neighbors.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Doris (Chichester) Ingram on April 28th; four brothers Victor, Paul, Bruce, and Glen “Skip”; three sisters Geneva MacIver, Beulah Spence, and Elsie Ingram; and one granddaughter.

Services will be Friday 11 a.m. at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Burial will be at Bethel Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday 5-8 p.m.
