“However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived“- the things God has prepared for those who love him-“ 1 Corinthians 2:9

Freda Martha Battin Harper, 84, of Williamstown, passed away February 2, 2019 at her residence, in her favorite chair with a smile on her face.

She was born on June 2, 1934 in Parkersburg, the daughter of the late Rev. Richard W. and Mildred M. McCartney Battin.

Freda graduated from Parkersburg High School. She worked as Dr. C. H. Barnett, MD’s Medical Assistant for forty-four years. She was devoted to caring and praying for others. She was a former member of Williamstown First Baptist Church and current active member of Williams Creek Baptist Church.

Harper, brother Gary L. Battin (Carol) special nephew Matthew, special nieces Jennifer and Teresa and many cousins. The family would like to thank Freda’s church family, Pastor Mike and wife Sherri, neighbors and special friends and Dr. Gnegy for his very compassionate care of Freda.
