Martha M. Hackathorn

Martha M. Hackathorn, 79, St. Marys, widow of Christopher Eugene Hackathorn, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018 at her residence. Born in Wood County, WV, on January 23, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Otto A. and Ella Hanlin Burner. She was a 1957 graduate of Parkersburg High School and was a retired Nurses Aid from the former Colin Anderson Center. Martha was a member of the Cloverdale Church of Christ and the Vienna Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by three children, Christopher Eugene “Gene” (Janet) Hackathorn, II, Carla (Larry) Stallings, and Mark Kevin (Kristie) Hackathorn; six grandchildren, Curtis Hackathorn, Kristina Goins, David Hackathorn, Christopher Hackathorn, Kevin Hackathorn, and Josie Hackathorn; four great-grandchildren, Kayden, Madison, Dechlin, and Roy; two sisters, Loretta Poling, and Leona Moore; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, husband, one son, Curtis Eugene Hackathorn, and three brothers, Carl Burner, George Burner, and Mooney Burner.

Services will be 2 P. M. Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Ingram Funeral Home in St. Marys, WV. Burial will follow in the Ellenboro Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 2 P.M. Wednesday before the service at the funeral home. An online guest register is available at www.ingramfh.com.
