Anna Mae Queen

Anna Mae Queen, 87, of Parkersburg, passed away June 8, 2018 at Camden Clark Medical Center.

Ann was born July 16, 1930 in Graysville, OH in Monroe County.

Her parents were the late Harry and Wilna Cline Harmon.

Ann was educated in schools in Monroe County and graduated from Graysville High School class of 1948.

She first married Ralph Blair and they had three daughters.

Ann married Dewey “Bud” Queen and they had one daughter. After 43 years of marriage, he passed away March 5, 2009.

She was a very active member of Fairlawn Baptist Church and several of their ministries. Ann loved cooking for her family and friends; everyone was welcome. She enjoyed traveling to other states, teaching her grandchildren to cook, NASCAR, gardening, reading and sewing.

Ann will be deeply missed by her daughters Sandrice Zaccardi of Eagle, ID, Judith (Jerry) Blair-Boothby of Williamstown, WV, Sharon Mattson-McCormack of Parkersburg, WV, Shawna (Tim) Barnes of Parkersburg, WV; grandchildren Tanya Zaccardi and Stephanie (Noy III) Rogers, Brett and Lexi Mattson, Tori and Derek Dillon, Reanna (Dillon) Sturm and Parker Barnes; great-grandchildren Rylee and Jeremy Zaccardi, Brandie Rogers and Noy Rogers IV; brother Larry (Hope) Harmon of Parkersburg, WV; sister Patty Albery of Newark, OH; several nieces and nephews and sisters-in-law Pauline and Ethel Harmon. She will also be very missed by her south side Kroger extended family.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bud, brothers Gene and Leonard, sisters Ada and Shirley, brothers-in-law Butch, Chuck and Norb.

The family would like to especially thank Housecalls Hospice for the special care they gave Ann.

According to Ann’s wishes, there will be no public visitation and a private service and interment at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and Memory Gardens.
